Per Maning
Artist and musician
Per Maning is one of Norway’s most acclaimed contemporary artists. Since emerging in the 1980s, he has made a significant contribution to the Norwegian art scene, and his work is represented in galleries and museums both nationally and internationally. He is known, among other things, for his distinctive animal photographs, which place a special focus on the encounter between animal and human.
His film work includes Selene i Venezia (1995), Kunsten å plystre (2021), and The Sound of Air, which will be featured at HIMF 2026.
